Frequently Asked

Straight answers,
no sales gloss.

The questions we get asked most on pricing, process, reporting, cancellation, and what it's actually like to work with us. If something's not here, ask.

01

Pricing & Contracts

Why don't you show fixed prices for everything?

We provide a scoped quote based on your brief, existing setup and delivery needs. The proposal identifies deliverables, responsibilities, fees and any separate media or third-party costs.

We aim to reply within three working days. Any review and proposal timetable is agreed once the brief is clear.

Do you charge a percentage of ad spend?

Fees are agreed in advance. Your proposal explains the pricing basis, management work and separate media spend. Ask us to clarify any cost before you commit.

Are there any lock-in contracts?

Your proposal sets out the engagement and notice terms before work begins. Review the service period, cancellation process and any committed third-party costs together.

What's the minimum engagement length?

The appropriate period depends on the brief, buying cycle and work involved. We agree the delivery and review timetable in your proposal.

Do you require a setup fee?

Setup work depends on what is already in place. Any campaign, tracking, creative or integration setup is itemised in your proposal before you agree to it.

Do you offer discounts for bundling services?

We can scope connected services together and identify shared work. Explore the Recommended Pairings on the pricing page, then ask for a quote based on your brief.

How do you invoice?

The proposal confirms invoicing dates, any deposit, payment schedule and accepted methods before work starts.

What happens if I cancel?

We follow the agreed notice and handover process. Your proposal clarifies account ownership and access, deliverables, licences and any remaining commitments.

02

Process & Onboarding

What happens on the first call?

We discuss your goal, current setup, team responsibilities and the support you need. The next step may be a focused review, a scoped project or further questions.

What does the audit cover?

We agree the review scope first. It may cover campaigns, website enquiry journeys, measurement or follow-up, depending on your brief and the access available.

  • Tracking health & attribution gaps
  • Current paid & organic performance
  • Funnel and landing page conversion friction
  • Follow-up and CRM coverage
How long from sign-off to launch?

We agree a delivery timetable around the scope, access, creative approvals, integrations and testing required. Launch dates are confirmed once dependencies are clear.

What do you need from me to start?

We agree the relevant account access, existing data, brand materials, approvals and delivery responsibilities. Access should be granted through the platform rather than sharing passwords.

Will you work with my existing agency / freelancer / in-house team?

Yes. We agree who is responsible for strategy, delivery, approvals, reporting and follow-up so EKN support fits alongside your team and other suppliers.

What if you recommend something you don't do?

We'll tell you and point you at someone who does it better. Selling a service when the real problem is elsewhere in the funnel is how clients end up resentful in month four.

03

Services & Channels

Which channels do you manage in-house?

EKN offers support across campaigns, search visibility, conversion, email, customer relationship management (CRM) and measurement. Your proposal confirms the work and people responsible for delivery.

Do you build websites?

We build conversion-focused landing pages and funnel flows, and rebuild or optimise existing sites for CRO. We don't build 50-page corporate sites from scratch.

What CRMs and tools do you work with?

Tell us which platforms your team uses. We confirm compatibility, permissions, integration scope and any additional costs before committing to implementation.

Do you work with ecommerce or just lead-gen?

Both, but we specialise in considered-purchase lead-gen where the funnel is longer and follow-up matters. That's where our measurement and attribution work pays off most.

What's "AI Search Visibility (GEO)"?

Generative engine optimisation (GEO) means improving content clarity and technical accessibility for AI-assisted discovery. Inclusion, citations and rankings cannot be guaranteed.

Can I start with just one service?

Yes. Most clients start with one, usually whichever bottleneck is biggest, and add services as the system matures. The sequencing matters more than the volume.

How much ad spend do I need?

We agree a test budget using your audience, offer, customer economics and learning goal. Media spend is separate from management and setup fees.

04

Reporting & Data

How often do I get reports?

We agree the reporting format and cadence in your proposal, including results, limitations and next priorities. A dashboard is included where it is part of the scope.

Which metrics do you actually report on?

Commercial first: qualified leads, cost per qualified lead, pipeline value, conversion rate, and channel contribution. Vanity metrics are there for diagnostics but never the headline.

Who owns the data and tracking setup?

Account ownership is agreed up front. We document access, deliverables, licences and handover so your team understands what it controls.

Do you do server-side tracking?

Where appropriate, we can scope server-side measurement and supported platform integrations. We assess consent, data quality, implementation costs and reporting limits before choosing the setup.

Can I see a sample dashboard?

Yes. We'll share an anonymised sample on the discovery call so you can see exactly what you'd get before committing.

05

Team & Communication

Who actually does the work?

Edwin Njenga leads EKN Marketing. Your proposal confirms who is responsible for the agreed strategy, delivery and communication.

How do we communicate day-to-day?

We agree the contact person, communication channel, update frequency and review meetings at the start of the engagement.

What's your response time?

We aim to reply within three working days. Any engagement-specific support or urgent-response arrangement is agreed separately.

Where are you based?

EKN supports UK marketing teams, with meeting arrangements agreed to suit the engagement. Contact Edwin to discuss your location and requirements.

What industries do you work with?

Considered-purchase services, B2B SaaS, professional services, home improvement, health and wellness, and high-ticket ecommerce. We don't work with gambling, adult, or crypto speculation.
